30.8.20: Letter from the Principal

Dear parents, dear students in grades 5-12,

we were very happy to see you on Monday and Tuesday at the school book distribution, to have a short chat and to be sure that you exist not only behind the screen. The new school year has started with the statement that e-learning must continue until January. Like all of you, the school management unfortunately learns about the latest developments regarding the school opening first from the media. These say that schools could open earlier if infection rates remain stable over two weeks. Of course, we are following these announcements and will be prepared for a school opening “any time”.
First of all, the pupils of classes 11 and 12 will come to school once a week from
31.8.20 for face-to-face lessons in order to prepare themselves for the upcoming Abitur.

During this week we will be welcoming our first graders. A small open-air event separated by classes. Everything is just different. On 24.8.20, a directive was issued to reopen sports facilities, which will also allow us to return to some sports activities. Unfortunately, the opening of the pool will not yet be one of
them. More information will be provided by the administration later this week.

In the new school year, I will also be available for a consultation hour every Thursday between 12am and 1pm under the following link:

Meeting-ID: 977 9447 6095
Kenncode: 091291

Dear school community, something is happening regarding the reopening of the schools. Let us remain optimistic and approach the second week with enthusiasm.
With kind regards,
Sibylle Seite
Principal
