German School Tomato Soup

For 4-5 servings


  • 500g Fresh, ripe tomatoes
  • 100g White onions
  • 50g Tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 50ml Oil
  • 50g butter
  • Fresh basil, oregano
  • Salt, Pepper,
  • 300ml vegetable stock
  • 300ml water
  • 100ml cream


1. Finely dice the onions and garlic and fry in oil for about 10 minutes at low heat.
2. Dice the tomatoes and add them to the onions and garlic. Fry for 10 minutes over a low heat.
3. Now add the tomato paste and fry for about 5 minutes.
4. Now add the butter, stock, water, spices and herbs and cook for about 10 minutes.
5. Then mix with cream in a food processor and season again with salt and pepper. Ready
