After a long Covid break we were delighted that the Dagoretti Horse Show happened again under the sponsorship of The Banda School.
85 horses entered the competition at the Nairobi Polo Club. Dressage and Show jumping classes were held under very hot conditions. Highlight of the three-day show was the Inter-School Show Jumping Championship with six teams from different schools. Banda School, the host, were represented by the biggest team. Hillcrest School had one team and two children from DSN: Tara Pleitz on her horse Genius and Umaiza Jamal on her pony Jaina from class 7, were part of the International Team. The competition was commentated with much humor and fun by two Banda School teachers. It was a very close call to winning it. Congratulations to our DSN riders for coming second.
The Dagoretti Show kicked off the equestrian competition season and in June 2022, Hillcrest School will host the next school horse event. DSN will be part of it, fighting for the cup!
