Good food is an integral part of everyday school life at the German School Nairobi. Our kitchen team cooks fresh and balanced meals every day, with a strong focus on healthy, varied and consciously reduced meat consumption. Two days a week, the lunch menu is entirely vegetarian.
The menu changes regularly, rarely repeats itself, and is as diverse as our school community.

When selecting our ingredients, we place great importance on origin, quality and sustainability. Wherever possible, fruit, vegetables, grains, meat and fish are sourced from local producers in the region. We aim to prioritise products from organic or certified organic farming.
