The German School Nairobi has also been recognised for the 2026/27 school year as School for Earth The certification by Greenpeace confirms our commitment to embedding sustainability in everyday school life in a long term and holistic way.
Sustainability at DSN is not a stand alone project. It is part of our lessons, our students’ projects and initiatives, our school campus, and our ongoing school development.
As part of “Schools for Earth”, we look at our school as a whole: How can we use resources more consciously? How can we equip our students with knowledge and skills for the future? And how can students take responsibility and actively shape change themselves?
For us, this renewed certification is not only an award, but above all a recognition of our long term commitment and an encouragement to continue on this path together.
We are proud to receive this recognition and look forward to the next steps as part of the “Schools for Earth” initiative.
