Career day at the Park Inn Hotel

On June 4th there was an educational trip organized for the Class 8 students for career orientation, whereby they visited the Park Inn Hotel situated at Wayaki Way. This particular visit let the students to have exposure towards the operating system of the hospitality industry. The day began with a warm and informative welcome from the Human Resources Manager, Denrick Nguithi who outlined some organizational facts about the hotel such as the roles and responsibilities of the various departments with a strong note given to the aspect of teamwork. After introduction, they took the students on a full round tour of the hotel to conduct research in the various areas. Later, the students were divided into several groups to get a better understanding and experience of how the reception, management, restaurant, and housekeeping of the hotel operate and this was done by meeting the heads of the various departments of the hotel. Finally, the target groups had to go their own ways, leaving behind with them the lessons on hospitality.
