After successfully passing the Bund-Länder Inspection (BLI), the German School Nairobi has once again been awarded the title of “Excellent German International School” for the third consecutive time. This prestigious title is officially recorded in a certificate signed by the German Federal President.
On September 20th, German Ambassador Sebastian Groth personally presented the certificate to our school principal, Jörg Isenbeck.
We are incredibly proud that the outstanding work of our school has been recognized and honored with this distinguished award!
German international schools are highly regarded worldwide as centers of education and intercultural exchange. There are 140 German international schools in total, offering German school-leaving certificates recognized by the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs. They are supported by the German Foreign Office, the Central Agency for Schools Abroad, and the respective federal states.
The quality seal “Excellent German International School” has been awarded every 5-6 years since 2008 to schools that continuously develop through a comprehensive educational quality management system. This award, personally confirmed by the German Federal President, stands for outstanding education and pedagogical excellence.
