Class 8 spent eight weeks working on a project in German and Social Studies on the topic of “Happiness and well-being for all”. They researched, spoke to experts, and got active themselves: planting trees, organizing a blood drive, and collecting garbage. With their project, they took part in the school competition “All for ONE WORLD for All”. Now it is official: Class 8 of the DSN is among the winners! 573 entries from over 33,000 students were submitted. The activities at our school were selected by the jury as worthy of an award in the “Classes 8-10” category.
On Wednesday, the class representatives Lorenz Rasche and Minah Ndalut were interviewed and the class was portrayed. This will be used to create a short film that will present the project, the class, and our school at the award ceremony.
We are now looking forward to finding out which prize the Year 8 class has won. On 18. June 2024, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier together with Svenja Schulze, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, will award the winning entries in Berlin. (The event will be broadcast via livestream). Congratulations, class 8!!!
