Dear parents, dear colleagues, dear members of the school community,
On Friday, 17.11.2023, the nationwide “Reading Day” will take place in Germany. Throughout Germany, the children read, laugh, ask questions, and listen with anticipation. As in previous years, the German School Nairobi is once again taking part in this wonderful tradition and has also officially entered the list of participating schools for the first time this year.
For the Reading Day, we are looking for readers who would like to read something to the classes – also possibly linked to a creative activity.
The reading hours will be held on Friday, 17.11.2023, from 9.40 – 11.15hrs on the premises of the German school.
Please contact Mr. Tonak (john.tonak@germanschool.co.ke) via e-mail by the 27th of October if you are willing to support the event as a reader. You are also welcome to indicate a preference (age group, class, etc.). English-speaking readers are welcome as well.

At the beginning of November, the readers will receive a small booklet containing tips on how to organize the reading time.
