Last weekend, the Kenyan Orchid Society’s Orchid Show was held at the Sarit Center and as is tradition, in addition to the splendor of beautiful real orchids, there was the Children’s and Youth Art Contest on the theme of the same name.

Our school’s artwork was so convincing in all age groups that this year the jury awarded the school prize to the German School Nairobi. Many pictures from our school were awarded the comment “Highly commended”. There were also prizes for the most outstanding pictures in different age groups.

Congratulations to Eddie Steege from class 1 for 2nd place, Luisa von Koschitzky-Kimani from class 6 for 3rd place, Liya Kühnl from class 8 for 3rd place, Luca van Enckevort from class 12 for 2nd place and Stephanie Nyawara from class 12 for 1st place among the 17 and 18-year-olds!
